The Cancel Button Puzzle

It’s rare to see a genuine example of this classic UI blunder in a product, but it’s always a delight – like encountering an old friend!

This is the first one I’ve seen in a Mac product, where the Cancel button is normally placed first (the opposite arrangement to Windows), and I’m not sure, but that seems to make the problem slightly worse.

    It’s even worse… I would understand OK to mean “yea, cancel it”.

    Ah… I misunderstood your point 🙂 I thought “Cancel first” was the problem you were seeing, re-reading it you meant the same thing I did – the OK is the problem.
